As many people know, Sagittarius is said to symbolize Faith,
Idealism, and exploration. Pluto is usually said to signify change.
When Pluto entered Sagittarius in 1995 it occured to me that we now
have the technology to quite easily check and see what Pluto in
Sagittarius really means to the history of the planet. I wasn't
disappointed in what I found.

Using the advanced return option of the Solar Fire Astrology program
I generated all the times since 1 A.D. when Pluto first enters, and
last leaves Sagittarius, and then I cross referenced them to the
Grolier, Comptons, and Encarta encyclopedias to generate
the following timeline for Pluto in Sagittarius.

These periods seem to be dominated by lots of
religious/philosophical upheaval and exploration. Such as the
appearance Jesus, Martin Luther, The scientific enlightenment,
etc.
